I haven´t been here for a long time... When I´ve decided to check the board, I find it virtually dead. Yeah... it seems HK DVDs really have died. Of course, it been years since I last bought one set.

Yeah fansubs hurt them a lot.  90 percent of the people i knew that used to buy lots of hks now download most of thier anime.  

R1 companies have for the most part gotten their act together as well.  With the exception of out of print shows i cant even imagine buying an hk now.

With the cheap internet Fansubs is where it's at. People hook up their computers to the TV and done. Quicker than any HK DVD set. I can't imagine ordering 1000 DVDs like I used to do back in the day.

Yes the fan subs have almost basically killed the HK dvd need by consumers. But there are still a lot of shows that have not been fansubbed and or released on R1 dvd in the USA.

I never thought FOTS tv would ever come out either, but Discotek is going to put it out, so who knows.
